Dr. Javier González Iglesias, PT, DO, PhD

Javier González-Iglesias is a physical therapist in Asturias, Spain, where he is working in Private Practice as Clinical Consultant since 1999 and professor of the Escuela de Osteopatía de Madrid. He is also collaborating in a research group focused on clinical sciences related to pain at Rey Juan Carlos University, Madrid, Spain. He is specialist in Sports Physiotherapy and Manual Therapy since 1998 and Master in Prevention of Risks in the Work Place. He has conducted his PhD in Physical Therapy in the Morphology and Cellular Biology Department of the Medicine School of Oviedo University (2009). He is author of 12 papers and first author of approximately 9 of them, most papers concentrate in manual therapy and the effects of spinal manipulation and clinical human pain research. He is also author or co-author of some book chapters about manual therapy in migraine and neurophysiology of chronic pain. He is also International Relations Advisor for the Spanish Association of Physiotherapists, and Coordinator of the Comission of Manual Therapy of the Professional School of Physiotherapists of the Principality of Asturias . 
He has been member of Scientific Committees of numerous national and international Congresses of Physiotherapy and has participated in conferences with related published abstracts/ proceedings with several invited lectures at national and  international meetings given.
