The international David G. Simons Academy™, DGSA offers courses in dry needling and manual trigger point therapy worldwide since 1995.
Our courses are designed for Physiotherapists, Medical Doctors and other health care providers. We have a practical focus and a strong scientific background. Our international, experienced instructor team guarantees highest professional and didactical competence.
The DGSA is named in honour of David G. Simons MD, a true medical pioneer and coauthor of the groundbreaking Trigger Point Manuals. Dr. Simons is cofounder of the DGSA. He was our mentor, teacher and friend for many years. We are very sad to announce that David G. Simons, MD died on April 5, 2010. He will be greatly missed! In collaboration with the Bern University of Applied Sciences the DGSA offers an University Diploma, a CAS (Certificate of Advanced Studies) in myofascial trigger point therapy off from 2012. Everyone who started with the DGSA courses before 2012 can complete the courses at the DGSA and reach the CAS at the Bern University of Applied Sciences with a 2-3 day passage-course.
